can I view my Supplement Allocation at and how much
I have spend? The
online supplement allocation system is available to
school principals via CICS Application SUPP, Option
#5. Initial allocations are loaded in
September and actual charges are updated beginning
in October and every month thereafter until May.
What CICS Application do I use
to process salary supplements - SUPP or PERS?
Application SUPP is used at the start of the school year to enter multiple
employees at once. This is called the Supplement Batch Process as all
supplements are posted at once through a mass update to the Personnel
Database. Once the Batch Process is completed any additions or deletions
to employee supplements is processed through the Supplement RPA screen (CICS
Application PERS, Application 8, Option 6). Please refer to the
Processing Schedule
for exact dates.
Is there a limit to how many supplements a employee
may receive?
Per the M-DCPS/UTD Labor contract an employee
may receive a total of three supplements excluding Extra Period Supplements.
To request more than three supplements a
Supplement Waiver Form
must be completed and submitted to your Regional Administrator Director for
approval.
My Supplement Waiver Request form was approved -- who
enters the supplement?
Approved Supplement Waiver forms are submitted to Compensation
Administration for processing.
I am trying to enter more than one club sponsor
supplement and application SUPP rejects the 2nd club sponsor supplement, why?
Since application SUPP allows multiple employees to be processed at once there
is a restriction to only allow any specific supplement code once for an
employee. This is a safety feature to prevent overpayments by you
entering the same supplement code twice for a single employee. In these
cases processing the 2nd same supplement code through application PERS after
the Batch Process.
Can a part-time employee receive a salary supplement
and how do I process?
Part-time employees for the most part are eligible for extra duties
supplements, excluding Extra Period, ESE, Test Chairperson, and are paid at
the end of the year via the Part-time employee form -- See Supplement
Processing

My school utilizes the Alternative Supplement Model (ASM).
How do I process these supplements so that the correct supplement title and
amount I requested in my ASM is given to my staff?
Unique supplement codes are created each school year for the Alternative
Supplement Model. The list will be sent out to eligible schools under
